We are committed to delivering excellent local healthcare to keep your family healthy and provide a successful community hospital for generations to come.

ERx specializes in providing quality, compassionate emergency medicine, inpatient services and urgent care through independent contractor physicians. Our providers are highly trained, dedicated and motivated to serve all areas, but we proudly specialize in rural areas of the country. Many of our locations have been staffed by ERx for over a decade. We are committed to expanding our presence, however quality surpasses quantity.

Our philosophy is quite simple: Provide the best quality of care to the patient in the most expeditious and sincere manner possible – ALWAYS remembering that the patient is the primary reason we exist.

Our History
EMSTSAT, founded by Dr. Robert Devrnja, began staffing a single emergency department in Oak Hill, West Virginia in 1984. Care was provided in both an emergent and urgent settings, in a facility serving a rural population of approximately 20,000.

By 1990, EMSTAT had multiple facilities in West Virginia and had expanded into Kentucky and Tennessee.

In 1997, EMSTAT the predecessor company of ERx was acquired by a leading national emergency staffing orgnization to expand their services in the rural market space.

In 1999, ERx was formed and began staffing Emergency Departments in Georgia and West Virginia.

In 2006, ERx advanced our clinical providers to include mid-level Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

As of 2013, ERx now has multiple contracts across seven states. We have also developed a hospitalist program in which we provide in-patient care at several facilities that work in conjunction with ER and local physicians.
